CHOCOLATE PIZZA by Dellie Rosen - 1st Place Winner

2 1/2 cups Nestles Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
l Tbsp Vegetable Shortening
1 Cup Rice Krispies
3/4 Cup Whole Almonds, Pecans, Cashews
Small pretzels broken into smaller pieces
3/4 Cup Golden Raisins

Melt chocolate morsels and shortening over hot (not boiling) water. Stir until mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and add Rice Krispies, nuts, pretzels and raisins. Stir until everything is coated with chocolate. Spread into a disposable pizza pan, covering entire bottom of pan.

Chill pizza (uncovered) in refrigerator l5-20 minutes. Remove and score with knife to look like pizza slices. Cover with plastic wrap and return to refrigerator to harden. Keep refrigerated.

CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE by Thelma Spiegel - 2nd Place Winner

3 Eggs (slightly beaten)
1 Cup Karo Dark Corn Syrup
1 Pkg (4 oz) Bakers German Semi-Sweet Chocolate
(melted and cooled)
1/3 Cup Sugar
2 Tbspn Butter (melted)
1 Tspn Vanilla Extract
1-1/2 Cups Pecan Halves
1 unbaked 9" Pastry Shell (frozen)

In large bowl, stir eggs, corn syrup, chocolate, sugar, butter and vanilla until well blended.
Stir in pecans; pour everything into pastry shell.
Bake at 350 degrees - 50-60 minutes (or until knife inserted halfway between the center and edge comes out clean.)
Cool on wire rack.
