Dec. 11, 2005 -WOW!!!!! What a SPECTACULAR MEETING, thanks to the incredible performance of MARTY KAYE, considered to be THE ULTIMATE PERFORMER . . . and rightfully so!!!! Over 325 Philadelphia Club members were entertained by him and what a time they had!!!. Marty's appearance was arranged for us by president Al Peckler thru Jerry Rainbow, Entertainment Agent for The Philadelphia Social Club.
A most dynamic entertainer, Marty Kaye, was given a standing ovation after a breathtaking performance. His range of talent, from playing an electronic multi faceted instrument to his operatic and show stopping Broadway selections, left the audience with their pulses pounding and wanting more. August 14 - GWEN JOHNSON - Because of her
easy-going showmanship, Gwen Johnson is considered by
some to be a Pearl Bailey flashback. She definitely
has her own unique, uplifting ballad style, which is colorfully
flavored with crooning, jazz, and rhythm and blues renditions.
She has sung with various bands throughout this country
and Canada, as well as on Carnival cruise ships.
GWEN JOHNSON's delightful personality was evident at our
August meeting, when she traded quips with one of our
members, Jerry Merman. Gwen did not know that Jerry
was a professional singer. After she brought him
up on stage, they sang a number together - impromptu -
but to anyone watching, it looked like they had rehearsed
for weeks. Jerry Merman will be the entertainer
at our November meeting and you are in for a real treat!!!!!!!!
July 10, 2005 - Jack Pender dazzled our audience
with his mastery of the saxophone, flute and clarinet,
as well as his singing and story-telliing. His stories
of his wife, "the coupon maven", were particularly
funny.

Paston. Her command performance (see

spreads, coffee and tea were served.
February 13, 2005 - Marci Shatzman, Senior Copy
Editor, as well as columnist for the SUN SENTINEL presented
quite an interesting history of her life at THE PHILADELPHIA
BULLETIN. She also gave an overview of her own fascinating
career in journalism. In conclusion she invited people
from gated 55+ communities to contact her with goings-on
in their communities. She said she is always looking for

Raabi Yaakov Nerenberg, who met many people he knew from
Philly; Leon Brown, past editor of The Jewish Exponent
and his wife Diana; Bobbie and Neil Rosenwald, owners
of Foodarama, one of the most well-known caterers in Philly.
They all received a thunderous ovation of recognition
from our members.
All twenty-one of the guests from our wait list were introduced
